http://www.warhammeronline.com/recruit/ The guys across the pond have this scheme in place whereby if they recruit paying members to the game, they are awarded special items, pets, and even new mounts. Does Mythic/GOA have any intention of implementing this scheme over here?

Hey Druchiibane, Yep we are working with Mythic to get this on this side of the pond as well. Don't have an ETA for you on this yet but as more information becomes available we'll let you know!

Sadly the GOA reply above is almost word for word the reply I got when I asked if the EU CE edition I had just bought could be used to upgrade my current account, and that was 3 months ago. It ok to say things will be done but please give us a ball park figure on time. Currently have a CE edition sat here getting dusty in the hope that one day you will come true on your promise to make it the same for EU customers as it is for US. Sadly feel the pets / mounts are something we will only ever see in US screenshots :(

What is going on with this? I'm looking everywhere for recruit a friend but can't find it. I have a buddy in Canada that wants to play and I would like to take advantage of this, but it doesn't appear to be an option. Edit: Also, what is the deal with the Call to Arms thing? I returned back after a year and I didn't get any bonus time added to my account. I contacted support and all I get is "the new re-enlistment offer and Recruit a Friend program are currently available only for the US accounts". WTF? Why are there two publishers, two websites, two forums, two support departments, and a different standard applied to US and Europe? This is garbage. Message Edited by Fatbat on 23-12-2009 18:21

Mythic belongs to EA, GOA does not. It would appear that EA does not have the servers it requires for hosting WarHammer Online in Europe, therefore they looked for a service provider and they obviously choose GOA. I don't know the contract details between GOA and EA/Mythic, but it is obvious that GOA does not need to do whatever EA does. That is why Recruit-a-Friend and Call-to-Arms are offered in the US, but not Europe, as GOA has decided that they do not need to do that here - which is a shame as I would have recruited a few friends by now... I sometimes get the feeling that there might be some "bad blood" between GOA and EA/Mythic, which might explain why GOA seems to ignore us (or so it seems). Who knows, maybe we'll get this in the future...

Well, that is a shame really. It would be nice to have some official word on this. It's been many many months since they said that they were working on it, and to not have this implemeneted by now is really disapointing.
